Change in leadership at Association Caring Dentists
Arlesheim, August 31, 2025 – Association Caring Dentists, founded on April 19, 2024, in Arlesheim, announces a significant change in leadership. Nicole Probst-Hensch takes over as president from Urs Endress, who will remain active as a member of the board.
Review of previous successes
Since its founding, the Association Caring Dentists has made remarkable progress in Cameroon. The mobile dental clinics have provided dental care to well over 8,000 children in remote areas of Cameroon. In partnership with local schools and village leaders, children have also been educated about dental hygiene. Both the children and their parents have given very positive feedback on the measures.
These were carried out by dental experts from the local Association Caring Dentists team, whose headquarters in Douala were fully established last year.
Goals for 2026 and beyond
Under the new leadership of Nicole Probst-Hensch, the organization has set ambitious goals: The mobile clinics should be able to meet the basic dental health needs of children in the villages in particular even better and more sustainably. In addition, comprehensive health data is to be collected in accordance with high standards so that, for example, the long-term effect of preventive measures can be assessed. Furthermore, the general state of health in rural areas is to be better recorded so that further integrated measures can be planned on this basis.
In addition, over the next few years, the way is to be paved for the establishment of a larger professional clinic and a training center for dental staff in Cameroon. In parallel, the international cooperation with other NGOs and medical institutions is to be established and strengthened.
