OUR SERVICES
The Caring Dentists Association is an urgent response to the challenges faced by the Cameroonian population in terms of dental care.
Oral diseases have a significant impact on people's quality of life and overall health, and require targeted and sustainable interventions.
We will ensure high quality dental care for all children in Cameroon, including the remote rural areas of the country.
Our approach is based on four pillars:
-
Mobile clinics
-
Specialized clinic
-
Digital Dental Health Care
-
Information and Training
MOBILE CLINIC
Travelling dental care
Our mobile clinics are traveling to remote areas, villages and schools, where access to oral health care is limited or non-existent. These clinics will be equipped with basic dental equipment and will be run by qualified oral health staff. They provide screening, preventive treatment and basic care services such as teeth cleaning, extractions and fillings. The goal is to reach at least 400 patients per village visited each year, which means about 10'000 people in 25 villages.
SPECIALIZED CLINIC
Quality dental care
We plan to establish a fully equipped clinic that will provide quality dental care to all Cameroonians. This clinic will serve as a base for the coordination of all our activities. Oral health professionals will be able to work in a modern and well-equipped working environment. The clinic will help to finance the mobile clinics.
DIGITAL DENTAL HEALTH CARE
Digital support tools
As part of our digital initiative, we will develop dental applications and make them available to dental care professionals and the general public. These applications aim to help healthcare professionals and provide patients with prevention advice. They will be particularly helpful in remote areas, where children and their families have no direct access to experts.
The applications will also help with the collection of epidemiological data.
INFORMATION AND TRAINING
Support for oral health workers
Health workers will continuously be able to build their skills and knowledge of dental care. Training programmes and exchange partnerships with foreign universities and dentists will be part of our capacity building locally and increase the availability of oral health services throughout the country.
